Meet Karrie Huber, North Dakota’s state delegate on the RMASFAA Board of Directors. I’ve been happily employed at the University of Mary for seven years where I started my career in admissions. It didn’t take me long to see the light [insert angel choir] and transition to financial aid. I have served in my current role as the Director of Financial Aid for the last two years.
My year as NDASFAA president concluded this past April, when I passed the “gavel” on to the current NDASFAA president, Chris Meek from Dickinson State University. After leaving my post, I did what any great leader would do—hopped on another great NDASFAA committee!
When not working, I enjoy tackling a DIY project or two with my husband Eli and answering endless important life questions like, “why we park on a driveway and drive on a parkway” for my 10-year-old twin daughters Layla and Sienna. I spend my summers at our family lake cabin and winters dreaming of warmer weather.
My higher education career has allowed me to work in advising, admissions, and financial aid. By far, financial aid is my favorite! This profession has help me cultivate friendships across the state and region.
