Please welcome CampusLogic, a financial aid software company that began operations in 2011, as a new associate member to RMASFAA! Steven Morris, Regional Director, is the CampusLogic rep serving our region. In order to get to know Steve a little better, the Membership Committee asked him a few questions.
Q: How long have you been with CampusLogic?
A: I’ve been with CampusLogic for a bit over a year, but it sure feels much shorter than that. Time is flying as we continue to grow at this pace. It’s been such a great experience.
Q: What can CampusLogic offer schools and their students?
A: An easy, mobile, personalized financial aid experience thanks to our self-service financial aid technology. Unlike complicated, time-consuming processes, we simplify the financial aid process, so schools can boost enrollment, efficiencies, and student satisfaction. For students, we empower them to manage financial aid on any device. Personalization matters—no one likes to feel like a number in the crowd. We personalize the financial aid process, award letters, and outreach identification.
Q: What is your favorite thing about your work?
That’s easy, the people. And I mean that both in terms of my colleagues and also the awesome folks in the financial aid offices we work with daily. One of our core values at CampusLogic is that “we have the courage to change the world,” and everyone here is truly focused on transforming the financial aid experience. I can’t say enough about the innovation our developers continually bring to the table. Financial aid offices across the country also focus on having the courage to change the world. DFA’s and office staff got into financial aid because they wanted to change students’ lives, and they’re passionate and dedicated about making it successful. It’s inspiring.
Q: What do you do for fun/hobbies/favorites?
A: I love going to see live music; any genre, any time. I am also a big fan of all Philadelphia sports teams, unfortunately, the City of Brotherly Love’s teams are slacking a bit right now. Living in Arizona makes it easy to stay active, so I try to play as much golf as possible with friends, hike, and spend time outdoors. If the time is right, my favorite thing to do is travel to a new city and explore their culture, nightlife, and restaurants.
Q: What was the last picture you took with your phone?
A: A picture from a Spring Training baseball game here in Scottsdale with my longtime girlfriend, Sarah.
Q: If you could wake up tomorrow in the body of someone else, who would you pick and what would you do?
A: I would have to go with award-winning actor Nicolas Cage so I could see what it’s like to continue to make such fantastic and timeless films.
Q: Will you be attending RMASFAA’s Summer Institute or the annual conference?
A: Yes, I’ll be attending the annual conference and I’m excited to meet everyone!
Be sure to say hi to Steve at the annual conference in Rapid City October 23-26 and welcome him and CampusLogic to RMASFAA! http://rmasfaa.org/docs/toc_conferences.html
