Call for Oscar R. ‘Jack’ Hendrix Award Nominations!

Greetings, RMASFAA!

The Annual Conference is just a month away – can you believe it?!  As September ushers in cooler weather (and more peaceful offices), we can begin looking forward to gathering as friends and colleagues at our regional meeting October 11th to 14th in Westminster, Colorado!  This also means that it’s time to request nominations for RMASFAA’s Oscar R. “Jack” Hendrix Award (formerly known as the Rookie of the Year Award).

This award is presented to an individual RMASFAA member, who within the last year, made a significant first contribution to the regional association.  This recognition can be for either an important single contribution or significant multiple contributions.  A roster of past recipients of the Oscar R. “Jack” Hendrix Award can be found by clicking on the link at the bottom of this message.

Please take a moment to consider your colleagues and those who have contributed in substantial and meaningful ways to RMASFAA this past year.  If you know of someone who is deserving of this award, please send me a statement of nomination which includes this individual’s name, title, institution or agency, along with detail as to why you believe he or she is deserving of this recognition.

The 2014-2015 RMASFAA Board of Directors will review the nominations and select the winner during the executive session of the fall meeting with the award to be announced by President Art Young during the 2015 Awards Banquet.  The trophy will be presented to the winner at his or her next state conference.

Please send me your nominations as soon as possible – but no later than Monday, October 5th.  My email address is joe.donlay@colostate.edu.  I look forward to hearing from you!

With every good wish,

-Joe Donlay, President-Elect
