On Friday, January 27th Kansas Governor Sam Brownback signed a proclamation declaring February 2012 Financial Aid Awareness Month in Kansas recognizing the achievements of the Kansas Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (KASFAA) and their willingness to assist students in need of help or information to obtain a postsecondary education in Kansas.  KASFAA members (left to right) Diane Lindeman, Jule Kirk, Sara Vancil and Brenda Maigaard were able to attend the official signing ceremony.

College Goal Sunday (www.collegegoal.org), a major event for KASFAA, will take place on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 22 locations across the state.  Financial aid administrators will be available at each of the locations to assist prospective college students and their families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the first step in securing federal and state financial aid assistance for higher education.
